The Gospel Coalition is hosting a day of fasting and prayer this Saturday, April 4. Below is the information, including some prayer guides and a link to the livestream prayer time in the evening. We hope this resource will encourage you as we continue to turn to our sovereign Lord in prayer during this pandemic.
From TGC:
We want to pray to the Lord in faith, trusting in the words of Psalm 10:17: “O LORD, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear.”
What Are We Going to Do? Saturday, April 4 will have three specific times for prayer. We have created resources for each at tgc.org/prayer
Morning: Personal PrayerTo aid in a time of personal prayer, our team created a guide based on Psalm 27.
Midday: Community PrayerWe hope participants will pause to pray mid-day with others in their community—perhaps with family around the kitchen table, or maybe a church small group or friends on a video call.
Evening: Online Prayer and WorshipDuring this one-hour time of prayer and worship, pastors, ministry leaders, and guest musicians will lead us in corporate prayer with men and women from around the world. Participants can pray with our staff, share prayer requests, and pray for the requests of others in the comments section. This livestream prayer time will be broadcast on TGC’s Facebook page and YouTube page from 7 to 8 p.m. ET (4–5 p.m. PT).
