We gather as a church on Sunday evenings at 5PM for our congregational prayer meeting. This is not a repeat of the morning service, but is our time to hear about the various things going on in the life of the church, and to pray together for them as a church. Our service begins with a time of singing, and this usually is a time where we get to learn new songs. Then, we have a time of sharing, led by the pastor, where we hear from members about various corporate or individual ministries and needs that exist within our church. After the sharing is finished, we then move into a time of prayer, as various people are called on to pray for all the items that were shared. If you’re a visitor or uncomfortable with praying in public, don’t worry… You won’t be called on to pray! After our time of prayer, one of the men of the church will lead us in a short 15-minute devotional from God’s Word, further applying what we heard in the morning. If you’re interested in learning more about the community of Hinson Baptist Church, our Sunday evening service would be a great way to do that. All are welcome!
