Michael & Adrienne Lawrence have five children and began their ministry at Hinson in September, 2010. Michael came to faith at an early age, but didn't begin to grow as a Christian until his freshman year at Duke University through the ministry of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. That's where Michael met Adrienne, and after their marriage in 1990, and a few years working for IVCF, they both earned their M.Div. degrees at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Michael also earned his PhD from Cambridge University in 2003. He came to us from Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, DC, after serving as Associate Pastor for over 8 years. Michael loves books more than food and enjoys an eclectic mix of music. He and his family love skiing in the winter and camping in the summer. Recently, Michael and Adrienne have gotten involved providing support to families in our community experiencing mental health crises.
